Wine Country Bus Tour to Sonoma and Napa Valley

East Bay Urban Wine Tour

The Wine Country Bus tour starts at 9AM where you will cross the Golden Gate Bridge where you will make your way to the peaceful county of Sonoma. California's wine industry first began here in the 1850's.

The tour will visit one or two wineries which are situated in the Caneros Region. One of the wineries will specialise in wines from Italy. The other in Zinfandels, Chardonnay or Pinot Noir. The tour may also take you to Yountville to visit Vintage 1870, a winery which is located in the old Groezinger Winery building. Here, you wil also find restaurants and shops where you can buy local produce such as cheeses and olive oils. There's also a wine tasting cellar. Or instead your tour could take you to a deli in Sonoma county, where you you'll have a picnic in a vineyard. Next, you will go to the world famous Napa Valley and Yountville, which is named after George Yount, who planted the first grapes in Napa Valley. After we eat lunch, the tour may head to Jameson Canyon in the southeast or perhaps stop at another Napa or Carneros winery. The fees are included for the 3 winer stops but not at Vintage 1870. You will then make your way back to San Fran

The tour will visit one or two wineries located in the Carneros Region. One winery specializes in Italian wines, and the other in Zinfandels, Chardonnay or Pinot Noir. Your tour may visit Vintage 1870 in Yountville, located in the old Groezinger Winery building with restaurants and shops where you can buy locally produced olive oil, cheese, etc., and they also have a wine tasting cellar! Or we may stop at a deli in Sonoma Valley with a picnic at a Vineyard. We will head north on Highway 29 to the world famous Napa Valley, and Yountville, named after George Yount, who planted the first grapes in Napa Valley. After lunch, you may head southeast into Jameson Canyon, or visiit another scenic Napa or Carneros winery. (Tasting fees are included at the three winery stops, but not at Vintage 1870.) Your Wine Country Bus Tour will return to San Francisco with great views of San Francisco’s beautiful downtown skyline and the Golden Gate Bridge. Hotel drop-offs will usually be between 5:30 and 6:00 pm.

Times Approximate

8:00 - 9:00 AM Pick-up for your Valley Tour at hotel, either downtown SF or Fisherman's Wharf area.
9:00-10:00 AM Head along the Golden Gate Bridge, north towards the historic Sonoma Valley, in the Carneros Region.
10:00 - 12:00 Enjoy two wineries in the Carneros Region and then continuing East into Napa.
12:00 - 1:00 PM Drive north through Napa towards Yountville.
1:00 - 2:30 PM Stop for lunch(not included)at a deli, with the option of additional wine tasting, and the opportunity to purchase other local produce such as olive oils, cheeses, and more!
2:30 - 4:00 PM Go to a third winery.
4:00 - 5:30 PM Begin the journey back, admiring the Downtown Skyline, San Francisco bay, and the Golden Gate Bridge.
5:30 - 6:00 PM Dropping you off from your Sonoma & Napa Tour at your hotel in San Francisco.
